Christmas Gift Guide | For Your Dog

I'm a huge animal person, I've my own Dog, you can see posts on her here and here, (a toy poodle Daisy) and two cats in my house. 
People love getting their pets a wee something something for Christmas and I'm no exception. Daisy most definitely will be getting a few new toys this year, I've found some cool dog related things that you could buy for your puppy just incase you're looking for some inspiration on what to get. 
I'm one of those dog owners that likes finding silly things to dress their dog in, I think Daisy secretly likes it although she doesn't act like shes much of a fan... 

Last year she didn't seem too happy with her jacket, might have been cause it was too big though... Yeah that's why she didn't like it... 

M&S Moustache Dog Toy £8
I saw this hysterical dog toy in Mark and Spencers and decided my dog absolutely must have it! Its a solid rubber toy that when they put it in their mouth it looks like they've got an awesome big moustache. I'm hoping my dogs wee mouth is big enough to hold this, or that shes smart enough to know how to use it... 

Personalised Pet Treat And Toy Crate £25
My dog has so many toys, they're currently kept in a really ugly brown box so a nice wee box with some new toys in it could be a great wee present for Daisy. And my mum since she's going barmy over how her toys don't all fit in the box and tend to be spread all over the floor - there's at least 5 toys spread across the floor currently. This does however still have a £7.95 delivery charge on top of the £25 for the item, so its definitely something to think about rather than impulse buying.

Daisy will have some kind of outfit or head gear this year. It makes for cute pictures and who knows maybe if they are good enough she can be next years Christmas card? John Lewis sell this little hat that I'll probably be sure to get no matter what since its so cheap. I'll wear a santa hat and Daisy can match me, we will be super cute!

Rosewood Santa Coat £7.99
Same brand, different store. Waitrose sell this cute little coat, I mean look how adorable that little doggy looks in the picture! They've currently got it on offer for £5.61, so you can get it for a little cheaper. This is still super affordable for a coat, Christmas spirit will be everywhere in my house! 

Christmas Munchy Red Velvet Cake Dog Chews £4
No Christmas present is complete without some sort of sweet, that even goes for dogs! Pets at Home sell so many really cool looking Christmas related dog treats, but these Red Velvet style ones really caught my eye! I think I'm just projecting my likes on my dog... Oh well she likes food so I'm sure she'll love them! 

Christmas Headband £5
Pets at home man, I'm telling you - they have everything to satisfy your dog present needs. I kind of feel sorry for my dog, I'm going to probably have outfit changes for her and everything. This headband though looked too sweet not to add into this guide. And as I'm typing I realise how crazy I am. Although... If you buy 2 outfit things from Pets at Home then you save 20% and I love a bargain so... Y'know why not. 

Christmas Dog Pudding Suit £10
Pets at Home, just take all my money please. I saw this pudding suit and thought it was fairly cute, they also have this Christmas Pudding jumper for the same price as this one. So I'm gonna try see what one I like best between the two. I think the suit looks better than the jumper, but I'll wait till I see them both in person before deciding for sure. My dog is definitely going to have outfit changes on Christmas.

Barkbeats Doggy Treat Box | March Box

I love my dog lots - and always buy her treats and such like. I wanted to spoil her even more this month since we lost our older dog last month, wee treats to cheer her up were needed. I'm so impressed with these boxes that I'm just going to continue getting them! My brother describes the boxes as being like a loot crate for dogs - pretty accurate I think! My dog really loves the contents of the boxes, so lets see what's inside... 

Busy Buddy Waggle 

This is quite a clever wee toy, you can stuff it full of treats to keep your pooch entertained for hours, its rubbery and fairly bouncy too. My wee Daisy just loves carrying it around with her, as soon as I had opened the box she had her head in it and was trying to take it out. 

Barks and Sparks Brownie 

This lovely little dog brownie that made from liver, carob, olive oil, yoghurt and other yummy (at least for dogs) ingredients. When I opened this up I didn't notice it smelling overly bad, just fairly meaty... Daisy loved it though and took a chunk away with her and munched it instantly. She still has loads left of hers, and since shes small I think it will last her a fairly long time! 

HovHov Natural Cookies

Treats Treats Treats! These little cookies are turkey, liver and basil flavoured, and Daisy loves them! They come in different shapes, so far I've seen them be bone shaped and dog shaped.

Trixie Roller Pop 

This is by far Daisy's favourite thing in the box, she tried to carry it off with her and instead of licking it, she had a wee nibble on the end of it. We planned on using this for training her more, but she gets too excited after the first few tricks and all she wants to do is have a wee lick of it. 

Arquizoo Wipes 

This was the final thing in the box and I'm quite glad for them. Daisy needs her eyes cleaned daily cause otherwise they just get really gunky. I used one on her the day we got them and they worked a treat, easily removing the yucky stuff from her eyes. They also smell really nice - fairly minty so thats always a plus!

Puppy Update | 4 Months

Daisy is now just over 4 months old and I thought I would just do a really quick post about her and how I've found having her. She's crazy smart and I just love her. She can already do the basics like Sit, Paw, Down and she even knows Roll Over! We're beginning to teach her sit pretty and then we'll hopefully move onto Play Dead soon. She's not quite got Stay fully yet but she is learning - she also needs to learn leave. 

My mum got her a little Diamonte collar, she said she never would but got one in the end since she thought Daisy didn't look cool enough. A little bit of bling never did anyone any harm. 

Her favourite toy is this little piggy, we got it from a local Garden/ Pet Store, it seems to have a hard ball inside it and a squeaker in its head. She goes nutty for it. Like proper mad. She gets on quite well with our other dog, Holly, they play together but if Daisy annoys her too much she will snap at her - it doesn't deter Daisy though. 

She sleeps almost completely through the night if she does a pee around midnight, and wakes me up at either 5am or 8am before going back to bed again. She does still have the odd accident in the house but the majority of her pees are done outside. I absolutely adore her and she has really changed the way my house is - we all just seem to be happier and get on a lot better ( shes a wonderdog).

Pets Pets Pets

Even before I was born there were pets around. I've essentially grown up with animals. I've never not had a pet in my whole 18 years of living. In total I've had 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 mice, 1 rat, 1 hamster, loads and loads of fish, 2 guinea pigs, 2 snakes ( one fell ill and unfortunately died), 1 bearded dragon and one rabbit. I think that is me listed everything.
The only pets I still have are my dog Holly, one of my cats Emmy and the newest addition to the family my other cat Hayley. We got Hayley after Christmas about 3 years ago - shortly after my cat Rupert passed away. He was 18, and unfortunately he was really unwell before he died. Rupert had been my first pet, and I was completely heart broken when my parents decided to have him put down, his way of life wasn't good anymore as he wasn't eating and was really weak. I miss that little black cat. I'm actually beginning to well up thinking about him.

My cat Emmy was bought from a farm about 15 years ago - I could be completely wrong. I remember the day we got her, she was sat in a little shoe box as we drove home - she was wild and kept jumping about the car. I know I was only 3 or 4 when we got her, but I asked my mum if what I remembered was right and she said it was. I was told to hold onto her as we drove home, but she kept crying and then started jumping around the car like a nutter.
Emmy is such a suckup, she always wants a hug. She will also eat any thing - the other day she ate a cheesy Wotsit. The be more dog advert, they should use my cat she is basically that advert. She also likes to have her belly rubbed. What a little cute little fatty.

Hayley - the newest addition to the family - was brought back in January a few years ago. I remember getting ready for school in the morning and my dad came to the door after his night shift with a cardboard box and a little black and white cats head poking out. When we got her she was so cute - sort of wild, she had just been rescued from my dads yard. My dog went to go eat the food we had given Hayley, and the cat went for Holly - the dog. She is a wild one. They get on now, its us humans she doesn't get on with all the time.

Holly, my little puppy. She is a Collie cross with a Labrador. She has bundles of energy considering she is getting old - I think she is 10/11 years old now. When she was a puppy she was so small that we couldn't find a collar small enough for her - we ended up having to use a toy dog collar - the toy was also her bed buddy. When she was a puppy she used to not like sleeping on her own, so we would have to wait with her until she fell asleep. What a little spoilt pup. I love messing around with her, for all I say how much she annoys me I do love her lots.

Here is a picture of my little bunny - she died at the start of the year after getting frightened by a fox. I loved my little Luna oh so much - she was such a character, chased my cats and was so friendly and loved cuddles. I think I might need to get myself another mini lop.
I love animals so much, always have and I always will. Every time one of my pets has died I have cried like a huge baby - my rabbit last year, my cat 3 years ago and my little hamster. I loved my little hamster - I really want another one but I'm worried that it won't be as brilliant as my little ginger buddy was. I'd also love a goat, random but yeah. A goat, another dog, a hedgehog or some other small animal would be loved greatly by for all of time.

I really love animals, and really want another pet but my mum wont let me.
