Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Perfume

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal
The first time I saw Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier I instantly fell for it, I didn't even need to smell it - the bottle was just that pretty! Luckily it also smells divine - but I actually only first smelled it in the Airport coming home from Amsterdam. David's parents once again surprised me with a rather expensive fragrance as a present - for my birthday they got me Valentino Donna which has fast become one of my most reached for scents.
Jean Paul Gaultier do unfortunately test on animals - but most fragrance brands seem to these days - I'm going to try get myself a cruelty free perfume soon, but in the mean time I'll use up the ones I've been given as gifts.
Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal
The bottle is really pretty, the liquid inside it is a rose-y pink shade. The fragrance name on the bottle is on a silver plaque and the whole bottle is topped off with the silver legs on top! This perfume will just look so pretty on your dressing table. Its a really sweet smelling perfume, and its not surprising when you see that honey and patchouli are laced throughout the fragrance.  Its sweet, feminine but also classy and elegant. I'd say its one of those fragrances thats light enough for during the day but a few extra sprays and you'd have your evening fragrance all lined up. I'm absolutely awful at describing scents - so I'll not try to describe it more than I already have, if your near a store that sells it I'd just recommend giving it a good sniff.
Have you tried this before, what do you think of this scent?

Estee Lauder Bronze Godess Perfume | Review

I swear to god, for the last four years I've told myself I'll get the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess perfume, and until now I've never been able to say I own it. While on the way to Turkey I decided to have a wee look to see if it was there and it was, so without a second thought I bought it and I'm so glad I did.
My mum and boyfriend think it smells like coconuts - and Connor says it reminds him of going on holiday.
I don't really understand base notes and perfume-y type stuff, but just incase you're interested here you go.
Top notes: Sicilian bergamot, mandarin, lemon, orange

Mid notes: tiare flower, jasmine, magnolia, orange blossom
Base notes: warm amber, coconut milk, vanilla, vetiver, sandalwood, myrrh

If I'm honest I only really notice the vanilla and coconut milk but it smells sweet and reminds me of being on holiday. The bottle is stunning too and I think it is just the same as last years bottle. The scent is amazing though, reminds me of being somewhere hot sipping on cocktails! Oh the holiday blues I get from smelling this. If you want to pick it up though you'll need to be quick because once its gone its gone until next year!

A few new products...

I've treated myself to a few lovely products recently so I thought I would share them with you before doing a full post. So recently I bought a little Benefit perfume set (Crescent Row Set) from Depop, I managed to get it for £17 - I wanted to get the set at Christmas but I missed out on getting it. But I've got it now!
The 4 little perfumes smell amazing, and they are the perfect little travel sized bottles, I did expect there to be a spray but alas the bottles are the types that you use your finger to apply the scent. The perfumes that come in the set are Ring My Bella, Laugh With Me LeeLee, Under My Spell Noelle and My Place Or Yours Gina. The bottles, as expected from Benefit, are absolutely beautiful - so sweet and quirky.
The next thing I treated myself to, that came the same day as the perfumes, was my brand shiny and new Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I got this for the amazing price of £18.50 from Cohorted - they only launched very recently and I was so excited, happy and all sorts of other emotions that I managed to get this palette. When it was first released I really didn't care for it at all - but after going to the Urban Decay event recently and seeing the palette in action - I instantly wanted it. Naturally I had to buy it - I mean how could I turn down that brilliant offer?!

I'll most definitely have better reviews of these products that will be up soon.

Perfume Collection

A fair while ago I took pictures thinking that I would do a perfume collection, I think those pictures have sat in their little folder for long enough. I like having a nosey into anyone's collections, and a perfume collection for me is like one of the best things I can read. So maybe people would like to read mine? Its now time for me to show the few perfumes I have and to fail extremely badly at describing the scents.

The oldest member of my perfume collection is my Nina by Nina Ricci perfume - there is almost nothing left in this but I can't bear (wrong word?) to part with it since it was my favourite, and possibly my first, perfume. It smells lovely and sweet and just generally perfect.

Maybe my second oldest perfume? Rihannas perfume, I'm not really sure how to describe the smell but it smells really nice, the bottle though I think is the selling point for it - the bottle is super pretty.

I think this is the only perfume I've ever bought with my own money and I've barely used any of it. I got this in the sales ages ago, I somehow managed to find the 100ml for like £20. Its very sweet smelling, I like it but it always seems to get left behind in my collection somehow.

This is probably the cutest perfume I own. Harajuk Lovers Super G. I mean look at it! It's got a super hero on the top of it! My friend got me this for my birthday a few years ago after me constantly smelling it and looking at it. Its a very young and girly scent, maybe not what I'm looking for now, but I will spray this on every so often.

Taylor Swift Wonderstruck. Smells and looks pretty. I don't really know what else to say - I am utterly terrible at describing scents.

Another birthday present from my friend, this was basically just released when she gave it to me. Katy Perry Killer Queen smells so lovely and the bottle - need I say how lovely it looks? I mean look at it! The bottle is such an unusual shape and looks super cool!

Newest best and favourite perfume in my collection. Marc Jacobs Daisy. It smells so goooood! I somehow managed to scratch a bit of the name off the bottle - that makes me very sad :((( The bottle is beautiful and so is the smell. I'm sort of scared to use it though since its so expensive to replace easily.

Whats your favourite perfume?

Killer Queen by Katy Perry

For my birthday I was given Katy Perry's new perfume. I hadn't even realised that she had a new perfume out, its that new.
I wasn't a huge fan of her earlier perfumes, the scent just wasn't something I liked. This, however, is such a lovely scent. It is a lot more grown up compared to her earlier perfumes, the bottle is glamorous and sophisticated and I think this reflects the scent.
The bottle, and even the box it came in, is beautiful. The bottle is shaped like a diamond and is a gorgeous ombre red colour.

I suck at describing scents, so I'll put down what the sites say is in it.

Top Notes: Dark Plum, Wild Berry, Bergamot
Middle Notes: Natural Jasmine Sambac, Rainbow Plumeria, Red Velvet Flower
Base Notes: Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart, Liquid Praline

I think it smells lovely and floral, whilst being a little musky. It smells really lovely, and if your looking for a more grown up, sophisticated scent I would 100% recommend this.
