Wet N Wild Walking On Eggshells Review

I feel like I may have done a review on this before, but since using about a year ago I basically haven't gone back to it. Until recently that is. The last few times I've properly done my face up - so like the works, face, eyes brow: everything - I've used this brilliant little palette.
My absolute favourite part of this little palette is the brow bone colour. It is the absolute most perfect brow highlight colour. I don't think words could describe my love for this colour - I will be devastated when this colour runs out - might need to call in a favour with a State side friend. The other two colours I do find a little bit shimmery for my liking - but they are still beautiful colours. The crease shade is a really lovely bronze brown, personally I'd rather have a matte colour for my crease, and this colour would be 1000x nicer if it were matte. But even still it is a beautiful colour. The lid colour is super pretty but again I find it really really shimmery. Its a lovely champaney pink colour, I'm thinking now this might be a good colour for the inner corner area of le eyes. Non?
I'm really hoping that these come over the Britain soon, I know for a fact they would be super popular over here. We all love the American stuff after alls.

What do you think of these palettes?

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Okay, so I know I said that the Naked 3 didn't interest me and that I wasn't going to buy it. But after seeing the absolutely stunning girls at Urban Decay using it, right in front of me, I knew that I had to have it! Luckily I restrained myself from getting it on the day, because not even a week later Cohorted had it on their site and I was lucky enough to snap one up. I really do mean snap - I got it for half price, so all in all I paid £18.50 for it. BARGAIN! I really couldn't contain my excitement, I think I must have told almost everyone I knew that I got one - even the girls that paid full price the week before, sorry.
When it arrived, I practically ripped it out of its packaging, mentally telling myself to be careful so I could take pretty pictures of it for le blog.
The colours really are stunning. How could I ever not have wanted to buy this? Lets face it, everything about this palette is beautiful. From the colours to the packaging. All. Absolutely. Stunning. I've tried playing around with it and I still love the colours, but I have to say only a set few look good on my face.
The pinker toned ones I am slightly struggling to use, but I still have 7 other colours that I absolutely adore. I've reserved strange specifically for my brow bone, and Limit for my lid. Dust is a really pretty shimmery colour that I think works really well in the inner corner - c'est magnifique. Nooner is really the only one I absolutely can't get to work for me, I just kind of look like I've been smacked in the face. Not a great look, I think you'll agree.
I really do love this palette - like really love - but I'm just not 100% sure how much love it will get from me. It might be one of those palettes that only gets played with my friends or only taken out once in a blue moon.

What are your thoughts on this palette?

Hello Naked Palette

I'd like to welcome to the family, the Urban Decay Naked Palette. For the longest time I've wanted to own a palette from Urban Decay but just couldn't bring myself to part with almost £40, but I had vouchers so it made it easier to part with my cash. This isn't going to be like a full in depth review of the palette - since I've only tried a few of the colours, but I can give my thoughts on it so far.
I've yet to have a good play around with this to see what colours I like best and what looks I can make with this, but today I made a simple (would have been better if I had more brushes) look using Virgin, Naked and Hustle - are these colours even mean to go together? Who knows. But I really liked the look of it, simple and easy enough to do - quick as well, so potentially a every day look?
The packaging, oh my. The velvet feeling packaging is so classy, very elegant - if you have the Naked palette go grab it now and feel it. I love the packaging - the only downside to it is I don't think the magnet that keeps it shut will last forever. I'm not to bothered about that though, it will probably just live its life out in a drawer so it really wont matter very much if the lid doesn't close very securely.
The colours in this palette, now that I look at it with my reviewing hat on, are sort of similar to the Stila In The Light colours. A few of the colours are very similar, but for the most part most are different. I really love the look of Toasted, Hustle, Half Baked and Smog - they all look incredibly pretty and I really want to find a way to wear them all at the same time - is it possible?
The brush that comes with the palette, I'm not quite sure about. I can't decide if I like it or not - is it bad for eye shadow or does it do the job nicely. Now that's something I just can't decide. I think I'm going to have to make a little order for some Crown Brushes.
The colours are really pretty though, crazy easy to blend and feel silky soft - I now understand why people use the word "buttery" in describing these shadows. They are a total dream, and I think I'm now going to save up some Debenhams points so I can get Naked 2. Do I need to get Naked 2? No, probably not. But I really really really want it. You do though need to try these eye shadows, you will be completely smitten with them.

Whats your favourite neutral palettes?
If you have this palette, what are your favourite looks?

Wet n Wild Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencils | Graphite and Pixie

I love shadow pencils. They are so easy to use - last forever, blend easily, crazy good pigmentation. These go on so easily and the feel really soft when you apply them. The shadows are so creamy though that they smudge quite easily, I found that I needed to use a powder over the top of these. Applying a good primer before had will help these not to crease and smudge.
The two I have are Graphite - a black metallic shadow with a slight bit of shimmer - and Pixie - a metallic champagne pink colour, this doesn't look like it has any shimmer in it.
The packaging of these is small and dinky, smaller than other shadow pencils that I own. I'm not sure really what else to say about these, so yeah. The colours are nice, but you do need a primer and a powder on top to help them last longer.
I've found that these are best used as bases for other shadows - rather than being a full on colour, they are lovely though none the less and I will continue to try and make them work for me. Pixie is such a lovely inner corner colour - it just brightens up your eyes so much!

What are your favourite shadow pencils?

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eye-shadow Trio | Walking On Eggshells

For the longest time I've lusted after the Wet n Wild eye-shadow palettes - be they the trios or the ones with 6 shadows. In the UK we can't get them very easily, the only choice we have is ordering online and paying the crazy shipping fees or visiting the states. I was thrilled during my blog swap with Zoe from The Caribbean Flower when I saw that she had sent me a few Wet n Wild products. One being the shadow trio.
If I'm being totally honest, I didn't really know what the colour options were, but Zoe picked me up the a lovely little neural set. On the back of the compact there is a little step by step guide, showing you the places to apply the shadows to.

Walking on Eggshells is they type of colours I wear, browns and other neutral colours -when I can be bothered that is. The shadows are contained in a long, skinny compact, which also holds two little applicators - a tiny little brush and a sponge applicator.

Each of the eye-shadows has the word of where to apply them embossed into them - brow bone, crease and eyelid. For an eye-shadow novice like me this is a huge help, as other wise I'd probably just apply the shadow all over my lid.

Brow bone is a very pale, almost gold colour. The brown bone colour is just a tiny shade darker than my skin tone so it is just barely noticeable.

The crease colour, is a beautiful brown colour that also has gold running through it. It looks a tiny bit shimmery, the colour is lovely and is slightly unusual.

Eyelid is a gorgeous peachy/pink champagne colour.

The picture really doesn't do the colours justice
When I swatched these shadows I was really pleased - and a little surprised - as to how pigmented they were. I did find they were quite powdery and some of the product had "fallen" out the pan, slight problem as it landed on my carpet. They are quite long lasting though, and I think with out a primer I could possibly get a good 6 hours wear out of them. With a primer I don't think they would come off until I washed them away.

If your able to get your hands on this definitely pick it up, your lucky if you can!

Stila In The Light Palette Review

For awhile now I've been wanting to try something a little different with my make-up, the only way I could think of was to add eye shadow in. I'm not a huge eye shadow wearer and if I do wear it, the it is usually just one colour. Nothing fancy. After seeing this appear on quite a few blogs - quite awhile ago - I decided I'd put it on my little wish list of things.
For my birthday my cousins were kind enough to buy me this, I was really happy when I saw it even a little surprised. I love the natural eye looks that some people do, and now I have a lovely little palette to try re-create them myself. I think recently they redesigned the packaging, since now there is a huuuge mirror built in.

The palette contains 10 colours, I would say that half are matte and the other half shimmer. Being a shadow novice, I'm most likely to stick with the matte colours and for now the lighter colours. I will eventually branch out and try a look with shimmers and the darker colours. The palette also comes with a Smudge Stick in the colour "Damsel". I've never owned a brown eye liner  but I think this will be lovely for those more natural days, when I still want a bit of liner.

Pigmentation of these shadows is amazing, the pictures really don't do them justice. The last a long time on the eye, and would last even longer if you used a primer first. Some of the matte colours aren't nearly as pigmented as the shimmery ones but I'm not too fussed. The Smudge Stick, now that is just amazing. It glides on, and boy o boy does it last. It has phenomenal lasting power, so much so that its a little tricky to remove. Its a very dark brown, so if your not usually a fan of brown eye liner you'll probably get on quite well with this.

The palette also came with a little look book. I love things like this, anything that tells me how and where to put the shadow is a massive plus in my books. It gives you 6 different looks to create yourself, ones that are extremely wearable on a daily basis to those that you may only wear when going out.
Te palette has a lot of pretty colours, my 3 favourites (just by how they look) are "Kitten", "Luster" and "Night Sky". They look really pretty, but I don't think they would go together very well.

I'm currently waiting on some Real Techniques eye brushes to be delivered, as soon as they arrive the fun shall begin. I'm going to have quite a bit of fun creating looks with this palette.

Have you tried this palette? Or are you wanting to try it?
