Possible Christmas Nails

Recently I've been thinking about different colours or designs and such like that I could use for Christmas Day nails. I don't have many nail polishes - or nail art things so I'm fairly limited when it comes to what I can do to my nails. I also suck at applying nail polish - it takes me quite a few applications to actually get a decent nail.

For this nail look - I used 3 different polishes. My mini OPI Nail Envy, China Glaze in White on White and a Barry M nail pant in Superdrug ( I think that's what it is called anyway).
I first applied the OPI Nail Envy polish - my nails are a little brittle and when I apply this my nails do strengthen up. Next I applied a couple of coats of the China Glaze White on White - I waited at least 5 minutes between coats to ensure that each coat was completely dry - I hate when it smudges. Bane of my life. Some nails did need a 3rd coat, as some weren't quite as opaque that I wanted.
The final step was a couple of coats of Barry M's Limited edition gold polish. 2 coats is fine, but 3 coats is better for a nicer finish. You will probably need a top coat since it is a little scratchy - the little gold flakes could also possibly flake away and fall off. That wouldn't be good if you were eating your dinner and little flakes fell in.

Just a few Avon bits

I didn't break my spending ban with this! I actually forgot that I ordered this, since I sent away the little booklet around the 20th of last month. I only got a few bits, and the total came to around £6, I'm not 100% sure though.

The first thing I got was something that I've been looking to get for awhile - for what ever reason I put off buying it. But I finally bought myself a Glimmerstick - this one is a chromes one, didn't realise there was different types... I think this was in the little cheaper booklet and I think it was around £2. The colour I got is Burgundy Shock, its a purple - despite the name, I would have thought it would be more of a reddy colour. It does have a tiny bit of glitter in it, but nothing to much. I thought purple would be a nice change, instead of only having the option to wear black.

This picture really doesn't do the colour justice. The eye liner is creamy and soft and perfect. It glides across the eye so easily, it doesn't catch or pull on the eyelid. 

I also got a Top Coat, it looked really really pretty in the picture in the magazine. I believe the name of it is Opalesce, I used it on my friend the other night, only used one layer and I have to say I wasn't very impressed. The bits of glitter - or what ever they are - don't come out very much. You only get a few bits per nail. So you would need a few coats before it would be a good top coat. 

I love a good face mask, so of course as soon as I saw this one I had to have it. I've yet to find myself a brilliant must have face mask. So for me I can never have enough masks - I currently own 4.

Essie Jamaica Me Crazy Polish

I love nail polish - despite being absolutely terrible at it. And I thought I would invest in an Essie nail polish, I found the colour Jamaica Me Crazy and fell in love with it immediately. I don't have a colour like it in my collection and hadn't seen one like it before.

"Jamaica Me Crazy" is a beautiful dark pink, almost purple, colour with a little bit of shimmer running through it. Or at least that's how I see it. The colour is VERY pigmented, I think you could maybe go with just one coat on your nails. If you want an even brighter more beautiful colour then two coats  is right for you.

This is such a pretty polish that you could pull off any time of day. This will be so pretty in Autumn and Winter, getting excited for the colder weather already.
