Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner Black Shock | Review

This product has been out for the longest time, but I only went and bought it cause I forgot all my make-up and I had a Cheer performance to do. I didn't actually use this on the day, only actually using it on Halloween - and I first used it on my friend. I was genuinely so amazed at how well, and easily I could apply it to her. Perfect flicks with next to no effort. I have the Benefit one, and I have to say, I think you need to use less of this to get a really good line. And obviously if you need to use less of this, then you don't need to buy it as often and obviously since this one costs less then you spend less in the long run. 
I recently managed to convince my friend to buy it - and she was so impressed by it. She was amazed at how easy it was to apply and how dark it went on. 

It really is amazing how black this goes on, it doesn't look even the tiniest bit greyed. It lasts an absolute age as well, doesn't smudge all to much - like unless you rub your eyes, then it'll smudge. 
The liner is dispensed by clicking the end so that the product is pushed up. The cap is a screw on/off one, which is a bit of a pain in the butt only cause I keep trying to pull it off. My problem really. 
The more you practice using this the better you get, the flick is super easy to do and it doesn't pull along the lash line like some other liners can.

Glasgow Urban Decay Event + Haul

So a week or so ago I went to an event run by Urban Decay in Glasgow wit a bunch of my friends, it cost £5 to go to it - but you got this back as a voucher later. It was really really fun - the event was basically just giving us the chance to look at and see the new products in action. The absolutely gorgeous make-up artist Danielle - who's YouTube can be found here - demonstrated, on other UD girls, the Naked 3 palette, Naked Skin and the new Naked lip glosses. I unfortunately didn't take pictures at the event - silly me - but trust me when I say that I left wanting every single last product used.
After the demonstrations we were able to go back to the counter and purchase till our hearts were content. It was pretty mad, so many people attacking the counter to try and get their hands on all the absolutely stunning products. If you spent £50 or more on the night you got a little goodie bag with it, so y'know I just had to spend £50.
I walked away feeling happy with what I got, although some of the item I originally wanted weren't in stock. But I'm really happy with the things I got, I knew I wanted a lipstick and a eye liner - I wanted a concealer but they were all out.

I bought one of their Revolution Lipsticks in the colour F-Bomb. Its possibly the creamyest lipstick I've ever used, the formulation of these is just amazing. It lasted such a long time, fading out to just a pale pink. Because it is such a bright red, you do need to be quite careful when applying it so you don't smear it all over your mouth. But, I have to say - it is probably one of the nicest lipsticks I own.

I've been meaning to buy this setting spray for the longest time, and I finally picked it up. At £20 I cringed a little when I bought it, but I have to say from the few times I've used it - its really worth it. I wore this on a night out in a hot sweaty night club and I don't think my make-up budged. It looked like my eye make-up and my foundation were still in tack - purdy impressive I think.

This is the most unbelievably good eye liner ever. Another item I wore to the horrible sweatyness of a club, and this didn't budge. Not. One. Bit. And boy is this hard to get off at the end of the night. It seriously doesn't budge, like you really need to scrub away at your eyes quite a fair bit before it budges. The colour is a really dark purple colour that can look a little black sometimes but it is most definitely a beautiful purple. Its a really creamy liner, that is able to be smudged if you work quick enough - I think you have about 30 seconds to smudge them out before they set properly. I'm definitely going to pick up a few more of these soon. 

The final thing was this little gift set, it contained 3 sample sizes of a few of their products. Naked Skin, their eye primer and four of their lipsticks. I've not actually tried these out, but I'm sure that I'll be using naked skin very very soon.

Just a few Avon bits

I didn't break my spending ban with this! I actually forgot that I ordered this, since I sent away the little booklet around the 20th of last month. I only got a few bits, and the total came to around £6, I'm not 100% sure though.

The first thing I got was something that I've been looking to get for awhile - for what ever reason I put off buying it. But I finally bought myself a Glimmerstick - this one is a chromes one, didn't realise there was different types... I think this was in the little cheaper booklet and I think it was around £2. The colour I got is Burgundy Shock, its a purple - despite the name, I would have thought it would be more of a reddy colour. It does have a tiny bit of glitter in it, but nothing to much. I thought purple would be a nice change, instead of only having the option to wear black.

This picture really doesn't do the colour justice. The eye liner is creamy and soft and perfect. It glides across the eye so easily, it doesn't catch or pull on the eyelid. 

I also got a Top Coat, it looked really really pretty in the picture in the magazine. I believe the name of it is Opalesce, I used it on my friend the other night, only used one layer and I have to say I wasn't very impressed. The bits of glitter - or what ever they are - don't come out very much. You only get a few bits per nail. So you would need a few coats before it would be a good top coat. 

I love a good face mask, so of course as soon as I saw this one I had to have it. I've yet to find myself a brilliant must have face mask. So for me I can never have enough masks - I currently own 4.
