NYX Lipstick in Snow White | Review

Recently I did a swap with the lovely Rena from Kiss and Makeup and one of the items she kindly sent me was a NYX lipstick. I'm a huge lover of lipsticks, so this was more than welcome in my ever growing collection. 

The colour Rena picked out for me is Snow White. It is possibly the most perfect deep red, its quite a dark red I would say - maybe a bit vampy. But I love it. A lot of the reds I have in my collection are very bright, so this is quite different from the rest. The colour is actually really similar to my hair now that it's been dyed! 
Packaging wise, the NYX lipsticks remind me of the MUA ones. Basically just a plain black tube, with the logo for the company and a little bit of colour to give an idea of the shade at the bottom of the tube. 

 I really love the way this looks on, I think it really compliments my paleness - and I think it makes my teeth look whiter! This is definitely going to be one of my most reached for lipsticks - it looks like it would be absolutely perfect for all year wear. WOO! 

The colour does last a fair while, the deepness of the colour lasts a couple of hours then your left with a nice paler red. 

After trying this I think I'd be quite interested in maybe getting a few more colours, as I'm really really impressed with this. 
What colours would you suggest I get, do you like these lipsticks?

12 Days of Lipstick #5

So, I didn't leave enough time to do this post before I had to leave for work - so this post is currently being written on a train and I'll possibly have to switch to a bus before this post is completed. 

So today I went for a red lip, a subtle easy red lip though. I decided that since I usually reach for my kissable balm stain for my red lip I decided that I would go for a change and use my Revlon lip butter in the shade Candy Apple. 

This is just such a nice soft red lip - has anyone ever described a lip colour as soft? 

It's super easy to apply and lasts a reasonably long time. 

I hope no one minds work place pics for this post - if I don't take pictures in work I don't think this post would have any pictures to go with it. So I forgot to take pictures during my break and by the time I got home it was 1am. So here we go. 

Apologies for my dead face, I had less than 3 hours sleep and was not happy at having a 6hr shift to do.

Girls Day Out Glasgow Purchases

So on the 29th of November I went to the Girls Day Out in Glasgow with my mum - we went last year together and I loved it. I also tried and bought Benefit for the first time last year at the Girls Day Out. This year, I didn't get any make-up this year but I did get a few clothing items - from Oasis.

Oasis isn't a brand I've ever bought from, but I've always lusted after their clothes. I thought I would take advantage of the fact that they were offering 20% off everything. So I got a couple of really pretty tops and a pair of jeans.

The first thing I saw was this red high low cami. I imagine wearing this with dark coloured jeans, ankle boots and a leather jacket. Full price it was £22 but I got it for £17.60

The next thing I got was something that I didn't think I'd like the look of on. But when I tried it on I decided that I couldn't leave it behind. This is such a beautiful collared maroon jumper style top. The sleeves are sheer and the colar is this beautiful black lace.
I'm not sure if I'll wear a little cami or vest or something underneath this, just in case I get a little warm in it. But looking at it again, I think i will need some kind of top under it since I am currently freezing my butt off in a huge thick jumper. Full price it will cost £38 to buy but I got it for £30.40

Lastly I got these pair of jeans - they feel very much like the TopShop Joni jeans, they look lovely on - all be it a little long on me. The jeans are a dark blue jean colour and are in the style JADE - they came in a lovely red colour as well but they didn't feel/look the same on. These were £32 if you were to buy them now then it would be £40

Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick | Purty Persimmon

I've yet to find a lipstick that I don't like. And this Wet n Wild lipstick is not a disappointment. I love red lipsticks its no secret, and recently I've found a huge loving for orange toned reds. This right here, a lovely orange toned red - Purty Persimmon the answer to my orange red prayers. This lipstick is semi-matte, it does have a tiny hint of shine to it without being to much. I don't care that its now Autumn and will soon be Winter, I'm keeping the summer on my lips and there's nothing anyone can do to stop me!

Due to them being matte, they are slightly drying but its nothing applying a really good lip balm before can't stop. Does that make sense? Applying a good lip balm stops the drying. That clears up any possible confusion.

I've found that these give a good 4 or 5 hours wear before you may need to apply again. Pretty impressive for a lipstick that is so cheap. Why can't we get wet n wild? I'd honestly buy everything if it came to the UK.

The packaging isn't anything special, but the lid - oh dear lord. The lid won't come off! This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good - it wont come off in your bag and make a mess. Bad - I damage the stick every time I take the lid off.
