Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint

Today I thought I would do a review on one of the items I received in a swap that I did recently. One of my absolute most used products that Rena sent me is the Pacifica Color Quench All Natural Lip Tint. I think, the scent/ colour of it is Guava Berry - I could be wrong though so don't quote me.
First of all the packaging of this is really pretty, at least I think it is, although slightly unnecessary. The lip tint itself came inside a plastic tube, that's the slightly unnecessary part. The tube is wrapped in a lovely wrapper of purple, pink, gold and whites - with of course the branding written in gold and pink. On the tube it says, big hydration, sheer color with coconut oil and cocoa butter. I have to agree, it is really big on the hydration front - my lips feel seriously moisturised for ages after I apply this.
Colour wise its nothing spectacular, but it is stated as being a sheer colour, by description I would say its a deep pink with a little shimmer running through it. Did I mention how soft it makes your lips feel?
It also smells phenomenal! When you apply this you can actually smell it for awhile after. I keep getting little wiffs of it. Mmmmmm.  It smells very sweet, I'm not sure what it smells of other than it just being really sweet. This comes basically everywhere with me now - I have insanely dry lips so its always good to have a good lip balm on me.
Apologies to all us British folk, you might find it near impossible to get your hands on one of these. Sorry - it ws just too lovely not to review.

12 Days of Lipstick #4

So I had another lazy day today. Only left the house to walk my dog - so really there was no need for make-up meaning the only thing to touch my lips was lip balm. The lip balms I sported today were first of all the Lucas Paw Paw - seen in yesterdays post - and the super luxurious Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm.
I've been using this lip balm for around 5 or so months, every morning and night. I have definitely noticed a difference in how my lips feel since I started using this. I adore the smell of it - sort of a zesty scent (smells kind of fizzy as well). I think I have a review of this on my blog so you can check that out if you like. This is a little expensive for a lip balm but it is so so so worth it.

Day 5 will be a lipstick post - I promise.

12 Days of Lipstick #3

Day 3 ( and about a week behind on where I'm meant to be). Today I'm having a lazy day in my house - so no make up. But I did promise anything that goes in my lips gets added into this. So today I'm all about keeping my lips nice and soft and hydrated - they have been so so so dry and cracked recently.
In a swap I did with Maddi a few months ago, she sent me a Lucas Paw Paw Ointment - I had heard so much about these and was really excited to receive it. Its such a multi purpose product - you can use it for anything from burns to nappy rash. It doesn't say anything about it being a lip balm but it works pretty brilliantly as a lip balm.
It feels really soft on the lips and works wonders on chapped lips - soft wonderfulness. If you can buy one of these I recommend you do.

Maybelline Baby Lips

For the longest time I have been drooling over Maybelline Baby Lips, I searched eBay and Amazon in hope of finding them for a reasonable price. But unfortunately postage made buying them for overseas imposable.
For awhile it has been rumoured that Baby Lips would be coming to UK stores, and finally have now arrived on the little island of Britain. I had to wait awhile before I could buy them as they were sold out almost everywhere. I could have bought just the one, but for what ever reason I held off till I could own them all.
You may know that I am a bit of a lip balm fan, and the baby lips are certainly no exception.
I would have bought all 6, but my friend thankfully held me back and I only got 3. I found it ridiculously hard to not buy all 6. I have a problem.

The three I have are all the tinted ones, since I so much prefer to wear lip balm to lipstick on a daily basis. This way I still get a nice tint without wearing lipstick. The one I was most excited for was Cherry Me, it looks like a lovely red tint. Beautiful, I do love my reds. Cherry Me is a scented, and smells quite sweet, just like cherries. I have quite dark lips naturally, so this doesn't show up quite as red as it could on someone with paler lips but it does sow as a pale red or dark pink on me.
I adore the smell of Peach Kiss. Peach scented things are something I will always love. It is very peach scented, and I love it! This did lighten the colour of my lips slightly, but it looked fine. Your lips but better, as people say.
The final one I got is Pink Punch, I wasn't sure what I was expecting this to smell like but when I did smell it I was really surprised. I was so surprised by it I actually said "wow". This is the most amazing scent, it is really sweet and fruity smelling. It smells like a fruity cocktail/ smoothie. It smells yummy. This is a colour that I would never usually go for. Its a Barbie pink colour, complete opposite of what I would usually go for. Its a nice colour, but I found that the colour collected at the edges of my lips, it could just be that my lips are dry.
The packaging is quite cute, nothing fancy. But I think it is really nice for these, the childlike cuteness of the packaging is adorable.
Baby Lips claim to give 8 hours of hydration, I don't think you get that much, but I do think they give a good hour or so of hydration. Better than most other lip balms I own. For £2.99 I think these are pretty good, they leave your lips feeling soft - even if only for a short time.

Have you tried the Baby Lips yet? What did you think of them?

I've gotten a bit balmy

I don't mean I'm warm. No. What I mean is that my lip balm collection has become ridiculous. Every time I notice a new lip balm has come out or I see one I haven't tried before I get the overwhelming urge to buy it. There and then. No matter how many times I tell myself I've already got plenty.  And I will of course be buying ALL of the Baby Lips when they come out, which is very soon. I buy lip balms from all sorts of different shops, be they more expensive or on the cheap side. Be they balms or butters, tins or tubes, squeezey or twisty. I'll have them sooner or later. I store all the balms that I don't use in a cute little doggy tin (It used to store biscuits at Christmas)  that I keep in my dresser.

Bodyshop

I love the Bodyshop, and their lip products are no exception to this. I have 1 lip butter and 3 born lippy tubs. The born lippy tubs smell heavenly; I have Strawberry, Raspberry and Watermelon. The Raspberry one isn't anything magical, but the other two, oh my days. I could sniff them for the rest of my life. They are really moisturising and they last forever, I've had the tubs for a looong time and they show no sign of giving up soon. The lip butter I have is the chocolate scented one. in all honestly I don't know why I bought this, it smells lovely but I don't think I'm really ever going to use it.

Nivea

The Nivea Lip butters are a massive favourite of mine, I can only hope they bring out more scents. I have the Caramel Cream one and Raspberry Rose ones. I did a post on them awhile ago, so if you want to find out what I think of them you could go back and read it there.

Lip Smackers

I have had these for the longest time, I used to constantly lose them so always had 3 or 4 going at the one time, I've removed the really old ones since its a little gross to use something on your lips for three or four years.( Especially when your only meant to keep them for 24 months) The two I have left are the Sprite one and the Fanta one, they smell beautiful and are quite hydrating. I would say the only thing about them is they leave a colour on your lips, and since the Sprite one is white its really not a good look.

Wilko

At Christmas I always get lip balms, its one of those things I always get. Last Christmas my mum bought me a pack from Wilkinsons, it had 3 "flavoured" lip balms in it. They are Grape, Strawberry and Watermelon. The only one that is nice smelling is the grape one, its smells lovely. I'm a huge sucker for grape scents. The other two smell a tiny bit sickly, or they don't smell at all.

Another I got for Christmas is one that I don't really use all that often. Its From Avon and is called Sugar Cookie. Its got a really nice scent, it smells just like biscuits do. Smells almost good enough to eat. I don't use this all that often just down the the fact that the smell lingers, so I can smell my biscuit lips for quite a while after I've put it on.

One that I have been using a lot recently is Lips Bee Healthier by Jason. I got this free in a glossy box last year and never got around to using it. It smells just like after eights, its also super moisturising. I switch up the lip balms I use regularly as I find after a month or so my lips get used to the product and start getting sore and dry again.

I wasn't sure if I was going to include this in this post as I wasn't sure if this was a protector for the lips or if it was a product for colour. Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova is such a lovely product, another of which I received in a Glossy Box. It smells like bubble gum and has a slight tint to it. You can apparently use this on your cheeks, but I find that its slightly sticky so would probably be quite hard to apply.

The next I have is a Burts Bees Lip tin. I can not figure out what the smell is, and I wouldn't say its a lovely smell - it smells quite fresh but slightly medically. I love this for the winter as it is really hydrating for your lips and in the colder months my lips need all the help they can get.

The final one I have is the one I am currently using. Its a Cherry Carmex, when I first used this my lips always used to tingle. The memories. It has SPF 15 which is always good to have, don't want to burn your lips in the sun. This small little tube is like the tardis though, I say that as I have been using it for a LONG time and I'm still no where near finishing it.

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm

I was over the moon when I opened my present from my brother and there sat a beautiful lip balm. I had been lusting after this for months and was so happy thrilled when I saw my brother had bought me this. My mum couldn't understand why I would want a lip balm so much that costs almost £10. I honestly at the time only wanted it because it sounded nice and luxurious. Essie Button had a huge part to play in  me wanting this.
Usually when I put on lip balm I need to reapply it about 10 minutes later. But not with this. I put this on before bed and I can still feel it on my lips when I wake up in the morning. I think that is crazy good. My lips were in a horrible condition, but now, now my lips are happy and healthy.
This may seem like a pricey lip balm, but it is the best bloody lip balm in the world! It comes in a pretty frosted glass jar, that is quite heavy considering the size. It has a lemony sherbety scent. It smells lovely, like a fizzy citrus.
I've had a lot of lip balms in my years, and this feels utterly amazing on the lips. The texture is unlike any other I have had. Its not glossy like all the other balms I have had, its quite matte on the lips. The balm is firm, but when you touch it it softens in your fingers.
If you suffer from dry lips then you need this in your life, you can get it from quite a few places and it costs £9.50. 100% worth it.
Whats your go to, must have lip balm?

Nivea lip butter review

I had been dying to get my hands on these little tins since I first saw them. One day I finally decided to buy them, and am I glad I did. The Nivea lip butters are truly amazing. They come in different scents, Raspberry Rose, Caramel, Vanilla and the plain original one. I bought the Raspberry and the caramel ones, and boy oh boy do they smell heavenly.
Not only do they smell amazing, they make you lips feel pampered and super soft. I have very dry lips, so I'm in a constant battle to keep them soft and to try keep the flakeyness at bay. This has helped so much!
I use these constantly, I have one by my bed and one always by my side when I go out.
Out of all the lip balms I have ever bought, so far these are my favourite. They tick all the boxes for me, they smell nice, they actually help my lips, last for a long time (unlike all the chapsticks I have used) and they are affordable.
