Small Body Shop Haul

When the Body Shop has a discount code, you have to put an order in - I mean its only polite, right? Since I hadn't placed an order recently, I decided that I should pick up a few items. I used the 35% off code with free delivery, and since Quidco was having a cash back event I got extra money back as well. All the things I bought I had never used before, and two of the things I had never even seen before in their stores. I've used everything that I bought so I think I'll make it also like a mini review.

I've wanted a new moisturiser for ages, and, as much as I love the body butters I thought I would try one of their body purées. I picked the pink grapefruit scent, I thought it sounded like a nice smell and I'm really glad I did pick it. It smells so lovely and just sinks so well into the skin. I actually think I might prefer these to the body butters. You only need a little bit as it goes such a long way and it has been really good for my skin recently since my arms have been so dry. 

I spotted this on the site, and was really interested in it - at first I actually thought it was the one everyone's been blogging about recently but its a different one. The Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee smells amazing! It basically just smells and looks like blueberry jam. Along with the larger seeds, there are tiny little scrub particles, that manage to give a really good, not overly abrasive scrub. I'm really impressed with this, its a scrub unlike any other that I've used, I'm definitely going to get the new one when it comes out. 

This was a complete impulse buy. I don't really know why I bought it - its just a cute little novelty sponge. Maybe I'll use my scrub with this? Who knows. It kind of reminds me of the Ribena advert with the cute little blueberries. 

 Another product I hadn't seen before in store before - I know if I had I would have snapped it up straight away! The Honeymania Bubble Bath Melt is so lovely, it smells gorgeous and the bubbles it creates are just so silky soft. You hardly need any of the product to make lots of bubbles, so this should last such a long time.

Sales Haul | Boots, Lush, The BodyShop

So on Friday, I decided to hit up a few shops before work. The first place I went into was Argos - I really just wanted to get myself a Yoga ball. Carly, the bestest fitness blogger/ YouTuber ever said to me that getting a stability ball and some sort of weights would be brilliant.

So the first chance I got I went and bought myself a Pro Fitness gym ball for £5.99. This was the cheapest one I could find, as I didn't want to spend a lot on one - especially if a cheaper one would do the same job. Next on my fitness list is some weights and maybe a medicine ball. Both of which are a bit pricey.

Next place I went to was the bodyshop - the store I went to didn't have very much in the way of sales items but I did get a couple of things. First thing I picked up was the Ginger Sparkle Body Butter, this cost about £5 and it smells heavenly. When I first smelt it I wasn't 100% sure that I liked it, but I think it smells really nice - hopefully I'll love it when I slather it on my body.

The only other thing I got from the Body Shop sale was this little set of Passionfruit. It came with a body wash and a body butter - it smells amazing and for only £8 its a total steal.

Next shop was Lush. I'd never made it to the Lush sale before so I was adamant that I would for sure go this year. All Christmas stuff was 50% off so how could I say no? I think all of the Christmas stuff I could find I purchased one of.

The Melting Snowman was one I wasn't sure about getting. I find the smell a bit odd - I can't quite put my finger on what it is that I'm not fond of, to be honest with you I can't even tell you what I think it smells of. Thats maybe why I don't like it overly much - I can't identify a smell!

I think this one is called Candy Mountain? I can't find my receipt and they didn't label them for me - insert sad face. I think this smells amazing though - if you can't get your hands on this bad boy then try The Comforter - it smells so similar, if not the same. 

The Golden Wonder. Not really sure why I picked this up. Probably because I was there and it was cheap. Ah - the sale logic. This is probably not going to be the best thing to sit in a bath with since it has so much gold glitter. Just touching it covers me in glitter. Not the best if I'm honest. I'm much more a fan of the bath stuff that you don't need to wash off yourself - like Blackberry Bath Bomb! It smells nice though, kind of zesty: a bit like lemonade. 

Bombardino. Hello there little guy. Smell wise I don't really have strong feelings either way. Its not got an overly strong smell - maybe the other things I bought are drowning out its smell? Its a cute wee bath bomb, and is probably the one I'm going to enjoy using most. Its not glittery, and doesn't look like it would need to be rinsed off my skin. WOO!

The final Lush purchase was the Snow Globe soap. I love this stuff, its maybe the only Christmas thing from Lush that I tend to buy. I got just over 100g for about £1.30 - how good is that?! Its very lemony, and is very similar to Woosh shower jelly. That means I can get my Snow Globe fix all year round!!!!!!!!!

The final shop I went to was Boots - y'know best to have a wee wander round before I need to go into the back to start my shift. I wandered around the Christmas section, since thats where the sale stuff was, I didn't see overly much that I wanted. The only sale item I got was a Beauticology Gingerbread bathtime shop set, the set was meant to be £12 but was reduced down to £6. It contains 8 different body products: 2 shower gels, 2 body lotions and 2 body creams. Its safe to say that I am completely stocked up on body wash and cream.

The only other thing I bought from Boots wasn't in the sale but it was discounted so we'll class it as a sale item. I bought myself Hydraluron!!! My skin has been getting dry patches and I'm pretty sure my skin is a little dehydrated - so a boost of moisture couldn't hurt. I've not tried this yet but I'll let you know how I get on with it. I think its going to be £16.65 until the 31st - so get it now before it goes up in price.

I've gotten a bit balmy

I don't mean I'm warm. No. What I mean is that my lip balm collection has become ridiculous. Every time I notice a new lip balm has come out or I see one I haven't tried before I get the overwhelming urge to buy it. There and then. No matter how many times I tell myself I've already got plenty.  And I will of course be buying ALL of the Baby Lips when they come out, which is very soon. I buy lip balms from all sorts of different shops, be they more expensive or on the cheap side. Be they balms or butters, tins or tubes, squeezey or twisty. I'll have them sooner or later. I store all the balms that I don't use in a cute little doggy tin (It used to store biscuits at Christmas)  that I keep in my dresser.

Bodyshop

I love the Bodyshop, and their lip products are no exception to this. I have 1 lip butter and 3 born lippy tubs. The born lippy tubs smell heavenly; I have Strawberry, Raspberry and Watermelon. The Raspberry one isn't anything magical, but the other two, oh my days. I could sniff them for the rest of my life. They are really moisturising and they last forever, I've had the tubs for a looong time and they show no sign of giving up soon. The lip butter I have is the chocolate scented one. in all honestly I don't know why I bought this, it smells lovely but I don't think I'm really ever going to use it.

Nivea

The Nivea Lip butters are a massive favourite of mine, I can only hope they bring out more scents. I have the Caramel Cream one and Raspberry Rose ones. I did a post on them awhile ago, so if you want to find out what I think of them you could go back and read it there.

Lip Smackers

I have had these for the longest time, I used to constantly lose them so always had 3 or 4 going at the one time, I've removed the really old ones since its a little gross to use something on your lips for three or four years.( Especially when your only meant to keep them for 24 months) The two I have left are the Sprite one and the Fanta one, they smell beautiful and are quite hydrating. I would say the only thing about them is they leave a colour on your lips, and since the Sprite one is white its really not a good look.

Wilko

At Christmas I always get lip balms, its one of those things I always get. Last Christmas my mum bought me a pack from Wilkinsons, it had 3 "flavoured" lip balms in it. They are Grape, Strawberry and Watermelon. The only one that is nice smelling is the grape one, its smells lovely. I'm a huge sucker for grape scents. The other two smell a tiny bit sickly, or they don't smell at all.

Another I got for Christmas is one that I don't really use all that often. Its From Avon and is called Sugar Cookie. Its got a really nice scent, it smells just like biscuits do. Smells almost good enough to eat. I don't use this all that often just down the the fact that the smell lingers, so I can smell my biscuit lips for quite a while after I've put it on.

One that I have been using a lot recently is Lips Bee Healthier by Jason. I got this free in a glossy box last year and never got around to using it. It smells just like after eights, its also super moisturising. I switch up the lip balms I use regularly as I find after a month or so my lips get used to the product and start getting sore and dry again.

I wasn't sure if I was going to include this in this post as I wasn't sure if this was a protector for the lips or if it was a product for colour. Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova is such a lovely product, another of which I received in a Glossy Box. It smells like bubble gum and has a slight tint to it. You can apparently use this on your cheeks, but I find that its slightly sticky so would probably be quite hard to apply.

The next I have is a Burts Bees Lip tin. I can not figure out what the smell is, and I wouldn't say its a lovely smell - it smells quite fresh but slightly medically. I love this for the winter as it is really hydrating for your lips and in the colder months my lips need all the help they can get.

The final one I have is the one I am currently using. Its a Cherry Carmex, when I first used this my lips always used to tingle. The memories. It has SPF 15 which is always good to have, don't want to burn your lips in the sun. This small little tube is like the tardis though, I say that as I have been using it for a LONG time and I'm still no where near finishing it.
