Not Another Boots Haul

I keep telling myself I'm not going to spend anymore money, and almost as soon as the thought has occurred it seems to get chucked out my brain by the compulsive shopper in me. I'm telling myself this was an okay shop as I'm pretty sure the whole thing came to less than £8 due to most of it being clearance. Does the items being reduced mean theres something wrong with them? 

I've been meaning to try the Naked shampoo range for ages - I first noticed them when I was working in Boots back in October, they were a talking point for a few other people that worked there. None of us had tried them but all of us agreed that we wanted to. I'm not sure how much these are full price but I bought this one for £1.50, I mean how could I turn my nose up at that? This is the Naked Detox Peppermint and Sorrel Leaf 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells fairly nice, I don't smell much of the peppermint - I get more of a herbally grassy kind of smell. I don't think this will get used everyday, maybe once or twice a week as it is basically just a cleansing shampoo to get rid of build up. Its free from Sulphates, parabens and petrochemicals. So yeah, its good for your hair...

I think this was also £1.50, I'm such an impulse buyer. I think I only really bought this because I was of the impression that John Frieda is quite expensive. Just me trying to justify being a spendaholic. This is the Strength and Restore Shampoo, it claims to give your hair strength without weighing it down. Loads of shampoos seem to have on them now something along the lines of "doesn't weigh hair down". This is for breakage prone hair, this is something I definitely have. I have stupidly oily roots with really really dry split ends. When my hairs at its worst I can tug at the ends and the hair just snaps off. Joy. Maybe this will strengthen my hair - even if its just a wee bit. Its safe for coloured hair so I'll be safe with this then. 

 I love Boots Botanics range, I've tried a few parts from them and I'd been meaning to get a moisturiser from their range for awhile. And now I have one! And I only shelled out £1.75 for it! Bargain, yaaaaas! I'll be interested to see how long this controls my shine for - my Origins one doesn't give much shine control, which is a shame as its so lovely.  

I think I only bought this because it was on a deal and I had a triple points voucher. Actually, no, I'm 100% certain thats the only reason why I bought it. I don't need another mascara, this will most possibly just sit in a drawer until I eventually get to it, I've got more than 10 mascaras - and theres no need for that. 

Fingers crossed there wont be another haul of any kind for a little while, I'm jobless and fast becoming penniless.

Botanics 97% Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm

For awhile I've been thinking about trying to take better care of my skin, and not just using cheap crappy lotions. Boots Botanics range seemed like just the prefect thing, its affordable and it doesn't seem to be full of chemicals. I had wanted to try the Emma Hardie one but that was a little out of my price range. This seemed like the next best thing.

I got this as a present from my cousins for my birthday and was extremely happy. I've been eyeing this up for quite awhile, and now I didn't need to go out and buy it myself. I'm lazy, what can I say.
This feels extremely luxurious, and when you follow the directions its like your getting a little facial.
It is a little tricky to use since it is a hard balm. When I first used this I didn't claw away at it, so it took quite awhile to get it on my face. Silly me.

This makes your face feel really really clean, without leaving your face feeling tight. The muslin cloth is lovely to use and feels really soft on the skin. I've found that in the past some muslin cloths can be a bit scratchy - especially the ones that come free with the product. But not this one. Nope, this one is soft and quite big as well.
This hasn't broken out my skin, no spots have been seen since using this. I did find though that I needed to rinse my face since it left a bit of a oily layer on my skin. I use this as a second cleanse, I was never the type to wash my face twice, and to be honest I thought the whole idea of a double cleanse was silly. But after actually doing it I have to say I love it. Double cleansing is fab. This product is lovely, it smells really natural and a tiny bit citrusy. It costs £8.99 for quite a large tub of cleanser.

I love this to bits and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new cleanser.

Botanics Ionic Clay Mask

I love face masks, always have and I always will. I like the relaxing feeling you get from using a face mask, sheer bliss. Botanics had always been a line that I had been interested in, my interested has now turned to love. This face mask is lovely. It draws out impurities, and I honestly believe that it removed a lot of my blackheads. My nose has a lot less blackheads on it than it used to.
This mask dries really quickly, it says you should leave it on for 10 minutes but I think it would probably be dry in half that.

I thought I would show how fast it dries, this was a few minutes after applying it.

It claims to absorb excess oil, which is a massive plus for me, and cleanses deeply, which may explain the blackhead removing properties. I'm not sure if it does actually control my oil since I usually use it at night, but maybe one day I'll pamper my face in the morning and try to find out.
My biggest annoyance with face masks is that they usually dry the skin out, leaving it feeling tight. This is one of the few masks I've found that doesn't dry my face out. This is possibly the best mask ever. Or at least  that I've found so far.
The tube is quite small, but you only need a little of it so it should last you quite awhile. It costs £6.99 for 100g, I think its worth it due to how little you need.
