Protein Pick n Mix Haul

I've decided to bulk up over the autumn winter time, so I'm putting on weight but I want to try keep the fat gain as low as possible, but heres the thing, I snack a hella lot. I decided to put a cheeky wee Protein Pick n Mix haul, all da snacks. 

 Snack bars! I got 4 of the Milky Way protein bars, I've tried one of these so far and they are tasty but they don't taste as good as an actual Milky Way - boo! Would recommend though, they weren't too chewy, and tasted pretty good. 
I also got one of the Barbell Cookies and Cream bars, this does not taste like how I expected it. Other Cookies and Cream bars taste amazing but this one tasted a wee bit like coffee... Maybe I just had weird taste buds. 
I got one of the Confetti Cake Crunch My Bars. This was really nice, but a bit chewy. 
I've yet to try this last one but its the Fulfil Cookies and Cream bars. 

 Next up we have the My Muscle Mug Mug cake - this one is Red Velvet. I've not tried it yet but I've seen a few people on Instagram talk about this one and they had only good things to say about it. 
I also got a Swolesome foods cookie - this was amazing, it had a surprise jammy filling inside it. If you were looking for a decent macro treat that actually tastes amazing then this is the treat for you.

 Jim Buddy's Donuts are heavenly. Actual heaven in a plastic tub. The Chocolate Orange one was the better of the two but they were both outstanding. You need to eat them pretty quickly though thats the only thing, I think they say to eat within 5 days. 

 GRENADE SHAKES ARE AMAZING! Ok, these taste amazing, all the flavours are beaut (although don't tell the others but White Chocolate is my fave). I got a set of 6 as they were better priced when you bought more. As a post workout these are great, I also though have one if I'm running late and dont have time for breakfast. 

 I also got two of the PEScience Select Proteins, I got them in Snickerdoodle and Cookies and Cream. I actually only got these cause a fitness Instagrammer I love was using these to make cake. And I like cake so it seemed to make sense. 

Final two products are Kodiak Cakes Flapjack and Waffle mix - I've used this before and love it so this is just a repurchase, I use it along with protein powder to make pancakes. I also got the Nuts'n More Hazelnut Spread, still need to try it so I'll update you on my twitter about the taste if you fancy knowing how it is.

Shearer Candles | Haul

Awhile back David and I were wandering aromatherapy had town and decided to go have a look in Princes Square, one of the shops we decided to go into was Shearer Candles. The candles they sold smelled amazing, and although at the time I couldn’t afford to buy any I knew I’d be back to pick up a few. 

Flash forward to when I got paid, whilst killing time in town before a meeting one day I decided to pop in and see what I wanted. There was s few things in the sale so I didn’t spend as much as I might have otherwise - I’d also set myself a max spend of £40 (I’d already spent £25 on candles that week, whoops, you can see that haul here though if ya like). Shearer Candles are a Scottish Company, founded in Glasgow, and are the UKs longest established lifestyle candle company. 

I decided to get this massive 3 wick candle, its their 20th anniversary candle, its got a lovely soft scent to it - on the jar it says its Amber and Rose. My mum thinks it smells like patchouli oil, but I think it just smells soft and sweet, almost a bit like honey. This candle was £15 in the sale, and has around 60 hours of burn time in it. The design on the label is really nice too - very Scottish but still elegant. 

I also got the Rhubarb and Raspberry scented candle, and oh boi this smells hella good. This scent is new for 2017 and if you were to section off your scents into seasons then this would definitely be more of a summer scent, but thats not gonna stop me from burning it through autumn. It was £9 for this candle, and I think it smells just like those rhubarb and custard sweets you can buy. Its a lovely juicy mouth watering scent. The jar is a weighty pink/ purple colour with a silver lid, the lid doesn't have a rubber rim or anything on it so it will fall off if your not careful, but thats not an issue for me. 

I got a few tealights from them too - they were £2.50, and are peach and tamarind scented. They smell divine, you get 8 in a pack and even whilst burning they smell beautiful. I got them with this lovely candle holder in mind. This is so cute whilst a candle is inside it, the tree design is lovely. There was three size options for this holder and I got the middle size, it was £15 and is perfect for the autumn winter time.

Bath and Body Works Haulin'

So, recently I found out there are some lovely people that sell Bath and Body Works products on facebook groups... This has been v much fun for me looking at new things and also very much not fun for my bank balance. I've gone so crazy with it recently and I think I've spent a good £100 on a few candles, body washes and pocket bacs. 
I'm also v tempted to buy more candles and some of the car scent things cause my car could do with smelling a lil better. 

So the first few things I bought were a couple of Pocket Bacs and a little holder for them cause y'know it looked cute and I'm a sucker for this kinda thing. The pocketbac's that I bought were the Sweet Pea and the Stress Relief ones. I've had both these scents before but in shower gel forms. They smell amazing and are definitely one of my favourite scents. To go along with them I got the holder, this one is a really pretty silver stone type one - its got little gem stones in it too, very pretty and will be a cute way to hold my pocketbacs. 

Next up lets talk shower gels! I got two of their shower gels, first one is the Japanese Cherry Blossom - I've had this shower gel before and loved it - hence me buying it again. Also bought the Pretty as a Peach shower gel. This smells so sweet, I cant wait to cover myself in bubbles.

 So the first of three candles I bought was Flipping Awesome. Flipping Awesome is Pumpkin Pecan Waffle Scented. It smells insane! Absolutely insane. My mum isn't a fan of this as its really sweet in scent but I love it, it smells beautiful. I think it will have a really good throw and will fill the room really well. 

 I also got Pumpkin Cupcake scented candle - again I adore this, it smells pretty similar to Flipping Awesome, but different enough to make having both worthwhile. Again the throw in this I think will be amazing - like fill the whole home good. 

Final product - the Vampire Blood Halloween scented candle is beautiful. It smells so lovely - a bit like berries, so its very fresh, the candle itself looks really nice - very Halloween-y, but y'know in a cute way.

Next time I get shop happy for Bath and Body Works what should I try and get? I need to calm down with the candle buying cause I now legit have a box full of candles in my room - better get burning. 

TK Maxx Candle Haul

 Hello candle people! After seeing a few people on twitter recently talking about DW Home candles I decided to take a look in TK Maxx after work one day. I found a few that I loved and a few more that I bundled into my arms - I had to leave a fair few behind unfortunately, I'll be back for them eventually, mark my words. 

 I got two candles from DW Home, a large 3 wick candle and a smaller jar. The smaller candle is in the scent Lychee, its housed in a burgundy jar with a rose gold lid. This smells so nice, very fresh and sweet - I'm hoping the scent doesn't disappear while burning. The jar costs £2.99, it doesn't say how long it will burn for but £2.99 for a beautifully scented candle is amazing value. 
The larger jar is in the scent Vanilla Blackberry, its got the same gold lid but the glass jar for this one is an ombre jar. It fades from a yellow, to a deep blue shade. This smells heavenly, its both fresh and fruity and cake-y. A strange mix of things when you think about it, but it smells divine. This jar costs £7.99, and if the £2.99 for the small jar was good value then this is phenomenal. The three wick jar says it has appox. 26 hours of burn time, which doesn't seem like an overly long amount of time for a fairly large candle, but we'll see how long I get out of it.  

 I saw this cool looking candle on the shelf and decided to take it with me - they had a Whisky scented one, this candle is Gin scented and by the brand M of W.G - aka Makers of Wax Goods. This candle is a large glass jar, with a wooden lid. Everything about the candle is perfect, it looks so crisp and grand. Quite rustic looking I think. Scent wise, its crisp and fresh. It'll be perfect for burning if you want a pleasant not overwhelming scent. I'm not sure how much I spent on this candle, the sticker appears to have been ripped off at some point. 

Olivia Blake is the final candle company I bought from. When I saw this I originally thought it was a Jo Malone candle, as the packaging is very very similar. The scent I got is Red Berry and Clove, on the box the scent is described as a rich black cherry with hints of cinnamon with a deep woody amber base. It smells really fresh with a light cherry scent, I think it will smell insane whilst burning. This only cost £5.99 and for what looks like an amazing dupe for Jo Malone candles the price is pretty good too. 
TK Maxx have such an amazing and vast range of candles to pick from, I'm excited to see what other scents I can find in stores over coming months.

Beauty Haul | Beauty Bay & Cult Beauty

So, I've been a bit MIA recently. And honestly I've a good reason for being so absent. My relationship with Connor blew up in my face rather unexpectedly and its taken me near enough two months to just come to terms and kind of accept that its over. I'm getting myself back out there and I feel so much better than I have in a very very long time. 
I've honestly over spent so bloody much in the past few weeks to try cheer myself up, all this has done however has lead me to have no money for the rest of the month. YAY. 
I put a couple of orders on Beauty Bay and another in Cult Beauty. I've become a wee bitty beauty obsessed in recent weeks, and as a result I've bought the things I wanted for the longest time. 

 From BeautyBay I got myself a few wee things, in the first order I made I got myself one of the Jeffree Star highlighters, the one I got is in the shade Ice Cold, £25.50. For what ever reason this picture turned out awfully, the highlighter though is unreal, and I've worn it near enough every time I've worn make-up. I've actually been wearing it with another highlighter but I'll do a post on that soon - it gives me such feels. 

I also got myself the new (?) Violet Voss Silicone makeup thing, £10. I gave this a quick try when I got it, but honestly I think I used it wrong, as I hated the finish it gave. Everyone raved about it so much and said how beautiful the finish was. I think I must have used to much foundation, cause the foundation didn't look even slightly blended and there was so much excess that needed blending in with another brush.  

Last thing from Beauty Bay is the Mr. Bright Teeth Whitening Kit, £49.95. I was so apprehensive about buying this, I mean look at the price of it! If this did nothing for my teeth then I'd have wasted so much money on it, half a hundred quids.  

Cult Beauty took some of my cash dolla too. I finally dove in and bought the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, £41. I'm so bloody glad I did, I've only played with it just the once so far, but I'm utterly in love with it already. The shades are beautiful and so pigmented, the blend like a dream too. URGH, want a good enough reason to wear it out and about but university doesn't seem like a glam enough reason. 

 Two new lovely Zoeva brushes too, both were £8.99 each. I love Zoeva brushes, and I plan to one day own all their eye ones! I own a lot of eye brushes, but the Zoeva ones are by far the best ones you can buy, at least out of the ones I've tried at least. 
Any recommendations on what I should buy next? 

TK Maxx Beauty Buys

Usually when I go into TK Maxx I find nothing, the beauty always lets me down. They always have great pieces but they've been poked and prodded at so much that it is horrifically disgusting and theres no way I'd ever put any of it near my face. 

TK Maxx had a really good makeup section, they had a fair few untouched Too Faced products, I got a couple of the Too Faced Melted Metal Lipsticks. I got three shades from them: Melted Metallic Bunny; Melted Metallic Dream House & Melted Metallic Tu Tu. They cost like £5.99 each, and honestly I bought them not having a clue how they looked on the lips or anything. Like any rational beauty junkie I bought all the colours they had. Justifiable what with it being super cheap. 

As I was heading to the checkout I spotted this small mask section, and literally rifled through every single mask they had, making myself a fair sized pile of masks. I spotted a bunch of Tony Moly masks, I got all the ones that they had on offer and I'm really excited to see what they do for my skin, also what they smell like - that red wine one intrigues me. 

Last bunch of masks are all a bit random, the little piggy ones look really cool. The 3 step Blackhead mask looks like it could be really good. I dont think any of the masks cost more than £4, so its crazy good value. 

I'm not sure how much of this is available in other stores, but its always cool to know that these things can be there and if you keep your eye out you might be lucky enough to find them. 

A Few Bits From London

After a day of sightseeing, my friend Gemma and I walked ourselves down to Oxford Street for a bit of retail therapy! 

Our first stop was to Selfridges, and I was genuinely like a little kid in a candy shop. I restrained myself so so so much and only got a few things - and only got a few things that we can't get easy access to in Glasgow. One of the first things I noticed was a bunch of skin care by Tonymoly. I've seen them online before but always decided against them as I'd not seen them in person before. I decided on a couple of TonyMoly products, the first one I decided on was the Egg Pore Nose Pack Package. I love a good pore strip - if they work then its a massive plus, the ones I last used did absolutely nothing and left me with such a red nose, I could have given Rudolf a run for his money! I've yet to use them, so I'll report back when I do get around to trying them out. Theres 7 in the pack, and they cost £6. Along with the pore strips I also got myself the TonyMoly Blackhead Steam Balm. This I have used, and I'm really impressed with it so far. You apply the product on your face, I just put it on the overly blackheady bits of my face leave it for a couple of minutes, then you just massage it in for a bit and when it turns into a white lather you just wash it off. It left my skin feeling hella soft and hella smooth. Your only meant to use this once or twice a week, I've so far used it two days in a row and I honestly feel like the darkest of the blackheads are gone. Trying just that one TonyMoly product has left me wanting to try so much more from TonyMoly and come payday I'm sure I'll be adding a few more products to my collection. The last thing I bought from Selfridges is a Zoeva Brush. I got the eye shadow brush 221 Luxe Soft Crease, I'm pretty sure I don't already have this one, and I absolutely adore my Zoeva eye brushes. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I owned all their eye brushes by the end of the year.  
After leaving Selfridges, we went a wander down the street and wound up in Pandora. Gemma wanted to to get herself a London related charm, and I honestly didn't go in with plans of buying anything. On the little tray the guy showed Gemma there was such a lovely little travel related charm and I couldn't help myself. The newest addition to my bracelet is this lovely little world charm with the words "All Around the World" written on it, and a little gem in it too. It was £35, which I thought was a great price as I thought it might end up being more expensive! Trying to picture this was so bloody hard, so theres a link to it here if your interested. 

Moving on from Pandora we wandered in and out of stores, and then I saw the mothership. The Disney Store. The Oxford Street Disney Store is flipping huge! The upstairs section looked bigger than the whole of the Glasgow store! The Disney Store had some of the country related new releases, and y'know I just had to buy the little London Tsum Tsum set. I'm not sure if I'll take them out the little box they came in, if I do though I'll definitely keep the box. They were £10, which is maybe a bit expensive but they are cute and a nice wee souvenir. 
The last thing we did on our lovely shopping day was to go on a hunt for Laduree Macarons. I ADORE THESE. Gemma got a bunch of Hotel Chocolat things, shes chocolate mad, I saved myself for my beautiful macarons. We walked past this store twice, we must have been so tired cause once we found it we were sooo confused as to how we missed it. I bought a box of 12 and got a fair mix of flavours: Morello Cherry; Lemon; Chocolate; Rose Petal; Orange Blossom; Vanilla; Salted Caramel and Pistachio. I love me some Laduree Macarons, if only Glasgow had a store.

Haul | Sephora USA, LA Splash & Sephora France!

Recently I took part in a blog swap with my friend, Rena, who lives in New Jersey, you can see the blog swap post here if you're interested. In the swap box Rena had kindly said I could have things to her house to save myself a bit of money, I got some things from the US Sephora and LA Splash sent to her house.

The stuff I got from the US Sephora I'm really glad I got and I can't wait to give it all a try! Since when I did the order last year it was my birthday month I got the Sephora birthday gift, the one I picked was the NARS One Year Bolder lip set. The set comes with two miniature pencils: Cruella and Rikugien. Cruella is a lovely red shade and Rikugien is a nice your lips but better nude shade. I also got a 100 point freebie, the one I decided on was the Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in the shade Lovecraft, this is another nude shade - it looks like it will be quite a good nude shade and hopefully it suits me. 
Sticking with Kat Von D - I got two more things from her range - I am so excited for her brand to launch here! I also decided to buy the High Voltage Eye Primer, I don't actually remember buying this, so it was a nice wee surprise seeing it in the box. Her makeup seems to be pretty heavy duty and it'll be interesting to see how it helps eye makeup last. The last Kat Von D thing I got myself was the Shade & Light Contour Palette. It was between this one and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour kit, I think I chose the Kat Von D one because it was a little cheaper and the colours looked to be better for my skin. My NARS laguna bronzer is running out so hopefully one of the shades in this palette will be a good replacement. 
Next up is the Becca x Jacklyn Hill Champagne Pop Highlighter. I bought this when the hype for it was at its highest. And basically two weeks after I bought it, it was released in the UK. Just my luck. It looks stunning though, I'm not sure if its too gold toned? I'll have to have a wee play around with it to see how suits my skin. 
The final thing I purchased was the Sephora Ultimate Oil-in-Gel Lipstick Remover. There is no worse thing than being unable to get last nights lipstick off that has now encrusted itself onto your lips. Or when you decide to change your lip colour but its a stubborn one and stains your lips. Hopefully this comes in handy and will help with taking off a bright lip. 

Next four things I've got are from LA Splash, they're all part of the Dia De Los Muertos collection that was released last year. The shades I have are: Catrina, this looks to be a grey shade with hints of green and purple running through it; Sangre Azul, this is a beautiful blue shade - I've always wanted a blue lipstick but finding one in the UK is a little tricky; Guadalupe is a beautiful burnt copper orange shade - I can't wait to try this out; and finally Hasta La Muerte, a very dark purple shade - its definitely the darkest purple shade I own. I'm thinking of doing a first impressions video with swatches of these so keep your eyes peeled! 

Final things are from Sephora France, I only got two things but if I had waited and gone into the Champs Elysees store I'd have probably spent a lot more! The first thing I got was the Sephora Metamorphosis Exfoliating Power, it cost around 15 euros and it looks like you get a fair bit of product. I do quite like exfoliating my face once or twice a week, but I much much muuuuch prefer the powder ones, but again there doesnt seem to be a lot of these on the market. 
The final thing I got was an ETTANG Charcoal Peel Off Mask Cup, it looked really interesting so I decided to pick one up - I now regret only getting one but alas too late now to go back and get more.

Illamasqua | New In

 I was in the mood for buying something new and to be honest with you I went with the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation in mind, but alas I ended up getting two things that I didn't have in mind! 

The new Precision Brow Gel is something that I've seen popping up on blogs recently, I figured its probably pretty similar to the Anastasia one - but with this I can get matched to a colour before I buy. When the make-up artist applied this to my brows I fell in love instantly, so naturally it came home with me. The one I have is in the colour Strike, they cost £18.50 - so a little more than the Anastasia ones but at least you know what colour to get... 

I also got the Loose Powder, £24, no idea why I decided to buy this. I think I basically bought this in hope that it could help my make-up last a little longer and that it would make it maybe look a bit better... Heres hoping it does that, cause if not I've just wasted a fair sum of money...
